It can also mean to dispose of unnecessary items (整理する = declutter). Unlike 片付ける (katadzukeru — to tidy up), 整理する emphasizes systematic organization.
Common Mistakes
Learners sometimes confuse 整理する with 片付ける (katadzukeru).
