共有する means to share information, resources, or understanding with others. It is very common in team communication and digital contexts: 情報を共有する (share information), ファイルを共有する (share a file), and 認識を共有する (align understanding).
Common Mistakes
Learners sometimes confuse 共有する with 分ける. 分ける is to divide something physically, while 共有する means to jointly use or mutually understand something. In business Japanese, 情報共有 is a key term.
